- Comic writer Alan Moore is calling for a boycott of The Rock's Hercules movie. Writer and scholar Steve Moore (no relation), who wrote the original Hercules comic series, did not want his name used in connection with the movie's marketing as he was upset with changes that were made while working with Radical Comics on the series. Steve Moore received no money for the comic being used for the movie and asked that his name not be attached to the movie. After his death, his name was being used to promote the movie.
