Triple H announced a battle royal at tonight's NXT tapings to determine the new #1 contender to Adrian Neville's NXT Title. The battle royal will air on the May 8th episode. Participants were Xavier Woods, Brodus Clay, Baron Corbin, Curt Hawkins, Aiden English, Jason Jordan, Danny Burch, Oliver Grey, Marcus Louise, Sylvester Lefort, Big Cass, Camacho, Mason Ryan, Kalisto, El Local, Mojo Rawley, Sami Zayn, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyler Breeze, Bo Dallas and Tyson Kidd.
The battle royal ended with Zayn, Kidd and Breeze getting eliminated at the same. Triple H then ordered a triple threat, to take place on the May 15th episode, that saw Kidd get the win to become the new #1 contender.
Kidd will get his title shot against Neville at the live May 29th NXT Takeover special.
