This week's episode of Smackdown opens with a recap of Triple H telling John Cena he has to face Kane in a stretcher match on RAW. Then, footage from the stretcher match is shown.
Then, John Cena makes his entrance. He takes up the mic and says that the championships hanging over his head signify excellence. He recounts how the titles got unified through Daniel Bryan becoming champion. He says that Bryan got injured, and now he and 6 other wrestlers are heading to Money in the Bank. He says he will walk into Money in the Bank, walk up the ladder, and walk out as the champ.
Alberto Del Rio's music hits. He comes out on stage and says Cena should spend more time worrying about him. He was the first person to qualify, and he will be the first one to climb the ladder and win. He doesn't think John remembers how dangerous he is, but he will make him remember as the new champion.
Sheamus's music hits, and he says no one forgot about Del Rio, no one gives a damn. At Money in the Bank, he will be the biggest challenge. When the match is over, he will be the US and WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
Cesaro comes out with Paul Heyman. Heyman says at Money in the Bank, we're guaranteed a new champion. He guarantees it won't be anyone in the ring. There's only one competitor with a full time strategist in his corner. Heyman will strategize against all of them to ensure they lose. Cesaro will become the new champion.
Roman Reigns's music hits, and he comes down to the ring. He says that ever since Rollins stabbed him in the back, he has had trust issues. The title is the only thing that matters now. He doesn't care who anyone thinks they are, there's no one in the ring that can stop him. He stares down John Cena. Cena takes his hat and shirt off.
Randy Orton's music hits, and he comes out on the stage. Orton says that Roman has finally learned he can't trust anyone. He is the face of the WWE, and the company was at an all time high while he was champ. He isn't standing in the ring, and Roman isn't running over him. He will win at Money in the Bank.
Roman exits the ring and attacks Orton. They brawl up the ramp and near the stage. Everyone else starts fighting in the ring. Cena and Sheamus are the last two standing as Paul Heyman pulls Cesaro up the ramp.
Back from commercial and Seth Rollins makes his entrance.
Seth Rollins vs. Kofi Kingston
They lock up. Kofi locks in a waist lock briefly. Seth locks in Kofi's arm. Kofi counters with a standing splash. Seth backs Kofi into the corner. Kofi reverses and hits strikes. Seth tosses Kofi headfirst into the turnbuckle. He snapmares Kofi and keeps his head locked in. He clubs Kofi in the back. Kofi comes back with a dropkick. Seth kicks Kofi in the mid section and tosses him into the corner. Seth leaps at Kofi, and Kofi kicks Seth in the head. Kofi hits a crossbody from up top. Seth comes back with body kicks.
Kofi head scissors Seth. He goes for Trouble in Paradise, but Seth dodges. He hits Kofi multiple times in the back of the head and neck. Seth lands a buckle bomb, and the curb stomp for the win.
Winner: Seth Rollins
Seth says that he guarantees he will be the winner of the Money in the Bank match. Dean Ambrose appears on the screen and tells Seth to be on his toes. He wants Seth wondering if tonight's the night Ambrose gets even. It could be any night, but it is going to happen.
