- As noted, Sheamus issued a 4th of July United States Challenge for Friday's SmackDown. That challenge was accepted by Alberto Del Rio on tonight's Main Event. It will be Sheamus defending against Del Rio.
- WWE also confirmed that Chris Jericho will be on SmackDown.
- Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam, Ryback, Curtis Axel and Big E were added to the Intercontinental Title Battle Royal at WWE Battleground on tonight's Main Event. The updated list of confirmed names for the match is Ziggler, RVD, Ryback, Axel, Big E, Cesaro, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow and The Great Khali.
