As noted, Santino Marella announced his retirement at a WWE live event in Toronto last night. According to a fan in attendance, Santino said his most recent neck injury happened three weeks ago.
His last WWE TV matches came on June 16th for the RAW Money In the Bank battle royal and June 17th in a Main Event match against Rusev. Santino has worked several live events since then, teaming with Emma and Paige
Santino reportedly told fans that he will still be around WWE and teased a possible General Manager role.
