Jeff Hardy Talks Teaming With Matt, Going For The World Title, His TNA Future, Team 3D, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0806/579719/jeff-hardy-talks-teaming-with-matt/#yRemIj8pOAbzXk8o.99

Jeff Hardy recently spoke with Donald Wood and the folks at Ring Rust Radio to promote last week's TNA Destination X special. Below are some highlights from their conversation:
Donald Wood: You and your brother Matt, The Hardy Boys, are reuniting for Thursday's Destination X edition of Impact Wrestling and will be squaring off against The Wolves in a Tag Team Championship match. What are your feelings about teaming up with your brother and challenging for the titles heading into the marquee match?
Jeff Hardy: This week on Impact is beyond great. When you talk about tag team wrestling, this is the top of the mountain, man. The Wolves are one of the best tag teams in the world, and my brother and I, the Hardy Boys, are back in TNA and we're going for the titles one more time and you do not want to miss this match this week on TNA Impact Wrestling,. It's a show-stealer.
Mike Chiari: With yourself and Matt wrestling a couple matches as a team in New York, is the Hardy Boys reunion in TNA just a short-term deal or do you anticipate and expect to be teaming together for the foreseeable future and getting back into the tag team scene on a more permanent basis?
Jeff Hardy: It's kind of the unknown. I mean, I don't know what Matt's going to do or what he wants to do as far as a long term deal. I'd like it to be long term, but right now it feels short term, but I can't speak for Matt. So, we'll see what happens.
Brandon Galvin: Jeff, you and Matt have always been among the most innovative tag teams in the business. Now that you have a bit more freedom in the ring when working together, how often do you two discuss new maneuvers and has there ever been something you've wanted to try in the ring but haven't had the opportunity to do so?
Jeff Hardy: I've had some recent new ideas that I've talked to Matt about but we haven't debuted them yet, but are pretty possible. It's like riding a bicycle. Matt and I teamed for a long time and we did an Omega show at the high school that Matt and I graduated from and wrestled the Briscoe Brothers and the whole show from beginning to end was so good and the Briscoes vs. the Hardys was a killer main event. I also did a few other Indy shots with Matt and we were just as good as we've ever been. And now, to be wrestling the Wolves and they're an amazing tag team and we tear it up. There's so much to do that hasn't been done, it's just about following through and trying to conquer it.
Donald Wood: The Hardy Boys teamed up in TNA in 2011, but the run was short lived. With both of you being in a much different place in your lives, do you appreciate the ability to work together again more now that you have overcome adversity?
Jeff Hardy: Oh, now more than ever. We both went through the dark periods and on the other side of those dark periods, we came out on the better side and to be performing the way we are, whether he's on an Indy show or Ring of Honor and I'm doing my thing, we're still rocking. To reunite and to be just as good as we've ever been pays off for us and the fans. It's a good feeling. I'm 36 years old and to get back together and still rock the house is a good feeling.
Mike Chiari: There's no question that the Hardy Boys are one of if not the greatest tag teams in the history of professional wrestling. As someone who has seen and done it all in the tag team ranks, who do you consider to be the greatest tag team of all time aside from yourself and Matt?

Jeff Hardy Talks About TNA's TV Situation, Victory Road 2011, His Goals, Willow, Wolves, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0804/579641/jeff-hardy-talks-about-tna-tv-situation/#l4wkSD5ub8C5mHMF.99

Jeff Hardy Talks About TNA's TV Situation, Victory Road 2011, His Goals, Willow, Wolves, MoreRyan Rider was joined by Jeff Hardy this week on MainEventRadio.com for a personal and revealing interview. Here is a recap:
What have been your favorite memories working for TNA Impact Wrestling?
For sure it was coming back after Victory Road 2011. 2012 was the best year of my pro wrestling career. Being clean and straight up. Looking great, loving life. 2012 was huge with me, every match. Winning the World title in a killer match-up against Austin Aries. The #1 year for me.
Victory Road 2011. I would assume that that had to be the worst night of your career.
I was too f***ed up to even try to get through the match. You see yourself on video, not knowing how bad you were. It's embarrassing; it's terrifying watching yourself. Me seeing myself in that shape devastated me. A huge let-down for the fans. Everything that was bad in me pretty much died that night.Thank G-d they didn't fire me that night. After Victory Road, that was a huge eye opener. I had a huge decision...I had the chance to do a 120-day outpatient rehab. It was good for me. It saved me.
When you came back later that year, how did it feel to be forgiven and embraced by the fans?
When I returned I had to go and apologize to everyone in the locker room. I could barely talk, it was horrible. I went in there and went through it, begged for forgiveness. I begged everyone for one last chance. I came out of that whole situation better than ever.
Recently you were portraying the character of Willow, which we know you've done in the past – What brought Willow back in TNA?
We through it around maybe my 2nd or 3rd year. But my hair was cut short and I had to grow it longer for the character to work. One of my best friends, Shannon Moore, his wife made me this awesome mask for it. But it just wasn't the right time for it. Me and Jeff Jarrett actually talked about it. Some time went on and then I had some time off in January and February this year. Then they called me and I tried to get it ready really quick. Try to develop my approach to the character. Debuted at Lockdown, lasted awhile, and was pretty cool as far as I'm concerned. It will be around, basically as a part of Jeff Hardy's imagination.
Reuniting with your brother Matt, the Hardy Boyz.
It was great. Matt's been doing his own thing on the indies and Ring of Honor. I've been doing my thing in TNA. He went through his own dark period too. Now both of us are on the other side of that.
Who he would like to work with:
The Wolves, I saw them in ROH and I thought these guys are special, crazy talented. There are so many young talents. We will work with anybody. Devon's back in TNA. We're older now and we have so much history with Team 3D. So amazing considering what we've put our bodies through and still going out there and doing what we do.
Do you plan on bringing back the TLC match/Full Metal Mayhem (as it's known in TNA), maybe at BFG vs the Wolves & 3D?
That would be a crazy main event and a definite show-stealer and is entirely possible.
You recently had a world championship shot against Bobby Lashley. You did a Swanton Bomb and landed directly onto the steel steps. You're now 36, I'm thinking that your body doesn't heal as quick. Why put yourself through such risks?
People have texted me while watching Impact saying that I look great. I wish I felt great. It was rough after that match and I had to tape a few more days. I'm so blessed to be in TNA. I can go hard for 3-4 days then I have 2 weeks to heal. I see a chiropractor 3 times a week. I work hard then I go home to heal then I go hard again.

TNA Impact Wrestling Destination X Complete Results: Aries Vs. Lashley, X-Division Qualifiers, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0731/579574/tna-impact-destination-x/#46ccZycYw7dhlbVs.99

Welcome to WrestlingINC.com's live coverage and results for TNA Impact Wrestling. Tonight's Destination X event was taped in New York City, where it is illegal to eat peanuts and walk backwards on the sidewalk at the same time. Google that.
Please spread word of our viewing party and complete results via Facebook and Twitter. If you have access to a telegraph, transmit the following message without delay: "Follow WrestlingINC.com's live coverage of Impact Wrestling. Stop. Wait; don't stop following it, just stop the message. Stop. Hold on, that last 'stop' didn't mean stop, either. It just meant 'stop' in the context of the overall telegraph message. Stop." (Ah, telegraph humor…)
On this date in wrestling history in 2000, Shane Douglas defeated Billy Kidman in a "Viagra on a Pole Match" on WCW Nitro. Really. Kind of a surprise that Buff Bagwell wasn't booked in that match, eh? Anyway, no shenanigans like that on tonight's Impact Wrestling but this episode is the "free" Destination X show and it promises to be a whopper of a wingding so let's see if Dixie and Company can pull off a big win for the team.
The show opens with a package that's heavy on Austin Aries and the Hardys. We're reminded that Aries will face Lashley for the title later tonight. Dixie opens the show surrounded by her coterie of ne'er-do-wells. Dixie rants that she's not going to give fans old, broken-down has-beens, ostensibly referring to some of the ECW originals on the roster (despite the fact that Rhino is standing behind her which just seems awkward). She then puts EC3 over in a big way and hands the mic over to her nephew who does a stellar job of promoting everyone on Team Dixie, one by one. EC3 says they're going to rebuild "The House the Carters Built" which is met by an unenthusiastic response. He challenges Bully, Devon and Dreamer in a tag match and we have a look at some of the other matches on tonight's card. Time for tag action. The teams come out to the ring and we have our first break.

The bell rings and the crowd seems evenly split with their "Let's go Hardys!"/"Let's go Wolves!" chants. Decent back-and-forth action and some quick tags fill the first few minutes. The Hardys work over Richards with some double-teaming and it seems unfortunate that Taz and Tenay are spending more time putting over storylines than calling a pretty respectable match. Jeff tries to smash Richards in a corner by Davey hits Jeff with some offense. Eddie gets a tag in and escapes a double-team by the Hardys with a double hurricanrana. The crowd approves. The Wolves follow up with a double suicide dive and they end up back in the ring with Jeff for a decent spell of double-teaming. Eddie gets a near fall on Jeff. The crowd responds with "This is awesome!" chants which is maybe over-selling it to the home audience. Matt comes back in to tip the scales back in the Hardy's favor. The brothers dump the Wolves and Jeff bounds out after them to lay the Wolves out again. Eventually, Matt and Edwards -- the legal guys -- are back in the ring. Matt gets a near fall and it's broken up by Davey. Shortly thereafter, each Hardy brother gets a Wolf in a submission hold but there's no tapping to be had. After a break, the Wolves regain control and they're all over Matt. Another near fall finds the Wolves getting frustrated. Eddie takes out Jeff outside of the ring leaving Matt in the ring with Davey, who is now the legal man for the Wolves. Matt and Davey trade moves and near falls and Matt teases a big move off the ropes but it's broken up by Davey. The Wolves then get together for a monster of an airborne back-stabber off the ropes. Matt's shoulders are down and the ref makes the count.

Jim Ross Talks Sting In WWE And His Legacy, The Streak Ending, Lesnar Vs. Cena, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0731/579546/jim-ross-interview-sting-in-wwe-and-his-legacy/#BUrXQJXh5mXzStb8.99

Jim Ross Talks Sting In WWE And His Legacy, The Streak Ending, Lesnar Vs. Cena, MoreWWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently joined Doug Mortman and Dave Lagreca on Busted Open. You can hear Busted Open on SiriusXM 92 and on the SiriusXM app. Here are some highlights:
Whether or not he regrets missing out on signing AJ Styles when he was in WWE:
"I missed on him. He just started getting rolling and he was just starting on the WCW roster when the WWE bought out WCW. Our team missed on him. We could have hired him, but he did not have the skill set he has now. In hindsight, the right thing occurred. He got more experience and ended up in TNA. I would suggest that his long run in TNA is what kept him from getting hired. From talking to him, he would be a huge asset to anyones roster."
His contract with WWE ending:
"I look it at it a little differently. I'll never be able to pay back the debt I owe to the wrestling fans since 1974. I've been on this amazing journey and the genre of wrestling/sports entertainment whatever you call it. The fans have invested in my work and they have invested in my BBQ sauce, followed me on Twitter, downloaded the podcast. I'm just very grateful. This hasn't been a sad week. I had to go through a certain period of time from a legal standpoint to fulfill all of my obligations for WWE. I'm now completely out there. I'm not looking for work. There's plenty to do. I've said it a bunch of times, coming to WWE in 1993 was the best career move I ever made. I don't owe them money and they don't owe me any. We're done. I have no regrets. The only thing I would have liked differently was the 3 bells palsy attacks and have to constantly explain to people why I don't smile. I'd like to be more HD friendly. I wouldn't change a thing and a lot of things are on the horizon."
His new interview with Sting & Sting in WWE:
"We go all the way back to the mid 80s so we really started way back. I don't go for the dirt immediately. I let it come out naturally. I can tell you, the funny thing is people don't understand business. Just because he showed up at Comic Con doesn't mean he has a contract with WWE. He's got a contract with Mattel from what I understand. He has a contract with 2K. He has some sort of agreement with WWE to basically sell T-shirts, like a licensing/marketing deal. It's not a traditional legends deal. Him being in San Diego means zero about him wrestling there. People are getting pissed at me because I'm telling the truth. Wrestling people are not supposed to always be honest, so I say to the best of my knowledge he doesn't have a wrestler contract, so the lock on Sting being in the ring in some point in time with WWE is there is no lock. If you're going to have Sting wrestle, book it right. If I was there I can book it in 30 minutes easy. He wrestles once. And if he wrestles once and he says "win lose or draw I'm done". That match is at Wrestlemania because it takes everything full circle. He's said he wants to wrestle one Wrestlemania before calling it quits. He doesn't need to win the Royal Runble. He doesn't need to come on Raw every Monday. That's stupid. He could make them a lot of money. I believe that the guy has paid his dues and deserves his Wrestlemania moment."
Why WWE hasn't signed Sting yet and should they:
"There's no logical reason why they shouldn't. He has no drug or alcohol issues. He is in good health. A lot of those younger kids grew up watching him. That's how I got Shawn Michaels to come back from his hiatus. I said if you don't want to wrestle, that's fine. Come back and be a positive influence in the locker room with your born again Christian faith and your outlook on life and how you screwed up your life and fixed it. You would be a positive influence. That's how Shawn Michaels came back to WWE. He came back to help the young guys, got the itch, and he was better than he ever was. Have Sting around people. Have him at PR functions. There's a lot of big time players that were one time big wrestling fans. I find it amazing that they say to me 'man I remember when you said this.' and sometimes that gets them a gig or interview. Sting has been on national television for how many years without missing a beat. He's been on TBS, he's been on Impact, he has a name and has been on ongoing TV forever. Why wouldn't you have that story and have that great story. I hear WWE supposedly has 30 writers. If you tell me that 30 writers can't come up with a storyline that would appeal to Vince McMahon, I'm sorry that they're in that condition, a company that I have been and forever loyal to and a company I feel like I contributed a little bit back in the day when we were almost out of business in the mid 90s. Sing is in great shape. He goes to the gym. He doesn't drink or smoke. Would you bring him back long term? No. But for one big match as part of an ensemble cast."

WWE issued the following today. The full report can be found on their Corporate site at this link.
WWE(R) Reports 2014 Second Quarter Results and Improved 2015 Business Outlook
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
WWE (WWE) today announced financial results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the Company reported a Net loss of $14.5 million, or $0.19 per share, compared to Net income of $5.2 million, or $0.07 per share, in the second quarter last year. Excluding items affecting comparability, adjusted Net loss was $13.5 million, or $0.18 per share in the current year quarter, compared to Net income of $5.2 million, or $0.07 per share, in the second quarter last year. WWE Network reached 700,000 subscribers at quarter end.
"WWE's core business metrics remain strong, and WWE Network continues to be the single greatest opportunity to transform WWE's business model. During the quarter, we developed plans to make WWE Network available globally starting August 12, and completed a long-term content deal in Canada with Rogers Communications," stated Vince McMahon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Additionally, we identified efficiencies that will improve our 2015 OIBDA outlook by $30 million. Based on these initiatives, we are optimistic about our potential to drive long-term growth."
"As we expanded WWE Network to 700,000 subscribers, our earnings performance surpassed our guidance, which targeted a Net loss ranging from $15 million to $18 million. Our key metrics continued to show strength as average North American attendance increased 11%, representing the fourth consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth. Raw and SmackDown TV ratings increased 5% and 3%, respectively, marking SmackDown's 7th quarter of growth among the past 8 quarters," added George Barrios, Chief Strategy & Financial Officer. "We identified efficiencies across WWE, which include a 7% reduction in staff, and improved our 2015 OIBDA outlook by $30 million. We developed plans to make WWE Network available in over 170 countries, and entered a 10-year deal that provides for the WWE Network launch as a traditional a-la-carte Pay-TV channel in Canada and renews our television licensing agreement for Raw and SmackDown. The progress in our strategic initiatives reinforces our view that successful execution of our WWE Network strategy can generate meaningful economic returns."
WWE Network Update
The quarter was highlighted by the ongoing ramp up of WWE Network, which attracted gross additions of 161,000 subscribers since WrestleMania on April 6th and ended the quarter at 700,000 subscribers, reflecting a net addition of 33,000 subscribers. To drive ongoing subscriber growth, the Company continues to execute a five-part strategy that includes making the network available in new geographies, creating new content, expanding distribution platforms, developing new features and enhancing its marketing. Critical aspects of this strategy include making WWE Network available in international markets and completing a new partnership with Rogers Communications, which provides the rights to distribute the network in Canada.
* Customer Engagement: Viewer data indicates that, on average, 91% of subscribers access the network at least once per week and use 2.5 devices to consume network content. Moreover, consumer research indicates that 90% of subscribers are satisfied with WWE Network (with 51% extremely satisfied and 39% somewhat satisfied).

Scarlett Bordeaux Talks ROH, TNA And WWE, Pearce Defeats Cabana, IWE Results Read morePAGE1at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0726/579397/scarlett-bordeaux-exclusive/#muPf1ZTWBwM0IpgA.99

If you're a wrestling fan who hasn't taken notice of Scarlett Bordeaux yet, you might want to have your eyes checked…and maybe get your head examined while you're at it. Not only is she one of the most striking beauties in today's independent scene, she's also risen to prominence as regular performer and announcer for Ring of Honor and she has even made some forays into the biggest of the big leagues with on screen appearances for TNA and WWE. Scarlett recently spoke to WrestlingINC.com regarding recent developments in her career and how her present success is shaping her plans and aspirations for the future.
Scarlett, it really seems like you've covered a lot of territory over the course of the past few years. You've worked in the ring as a valet and wrestler, you've played some integral roles in Ring of Honor, you worked a match for TNA and you even had a spot as one of Adam Rose's "rosebuds" at WWE's Payback event. It's a safe bet that a lot of folks—including your fans as well as your peers—are wondering, "What's Scarlett's secret?" So really…how are you pulling all of this stuff off?
It starts with passion. I knew nothing about wrestling 4 years ago before a friend introduced me to it. I trained at a conservatory as a mezzo-soprano and was a musical theater major in college so I had a theater background. Performing has always been my passion. It took a lot of hard work and determination to train and learn about wrestling, but I developed a love for the business.
Your presence in Ring of Honor has really garnered a lot of attention and accolades. What's been the highlight of your work in ROH thus far?
It's a three-way tie between wrestling my first Ring of Honor match, announcing the Anniversary show and the entire experience of being in The House of Truth as a Hoopla Hottie. Each was different but special to me. Ring of Honor has become a place I call a second home. The locker room is really my second family, they support me and I couldn't do it without them.
How did your appearance at "One Night Only" come about? How important was it for you to get in-ring experience in TNA?
It was quite unexpected and extremely flattering when I got the call to appear at One Night Only. One of the managing parties at TNA reviewed one of my matches and contacted me shortly after. Appearing at TNA for the first time was extremely important to me due to the high visibility. I always get a little nervous when I work somewhere new but I was also very excited.
You're still doing some work in the independent scene too, right? How do you balance everything that's involved in your career these days?
It takes a lot of preparation as far as scheduling goes. It also takes discipline to stay fit and eat right. It's important to motivate yourself.
You were recently named one of the "35 Most Beautiful Women of Wrestling" in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's 35th Anniversary issue. How did it feel to have your picture included in that list alongside some of the most celebrated women in the business, including Miss Elizabeth, Trish Stratus and Kelly Kelly?
It was definitely unexpected! There are so many talented and beautiful women in the world of wrestling and it's extremely flattering to have been chosen in the top 35.
With all of your experience in the business to date, how do you feel about the current state of the wrestling business? Do you think that WWE will dominate pro wrestling for the foreseeable future or will TNA, ROH and the independent scene continue to make some inroads on developing a devoted fan base? As a performer—both with respect to ring announcing and wrestling—what do you think your role is in the future of wrestling? What should your fans look forward to from here?

WWE SmackDown Complete Results: Ambrose And Cesaro In A No DQ, Reigns Vs. ADR, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0725/579376/wwe-smackdown/#rHG97uUT7vAFQVO6.99

Welcome to WrestlingINC.com's live coverage and results for the July 25, 2014 episode. Tonight's show was taped this past Tuesday in Orlando, Florida.
Please spread word of our viewing party and complete results via Facebook and Twitter. If you're trapped in that video game world from the movie Tron, use your "light cycle" to spell out the sentence "Follow our SmackDown results on WrestlingINC.com" but don't cross light paths with anyone else because you'll totally explode and then you'll miss the whole show.
On this date in wrestling history in 1999, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin defeated The Undertaker in a "First Blood" match for the WWF title. That match took place at WWF's Fully Loaded show, which was held in Buffalo, New York. Neither one of those guys is on tonight's card but hey, we have an entirely new generation of talent to look forward to and we'll likely get a memorable moment or — at the very least, a noteworthy second or two — out of what's on tap for this evening.
The Usos vs. RybAxel
After the opening titles roll, The Usos work up the crowd and bounce out to the ring to battle RybAxel. Cole reminds us that the RybAxel guys are on a roll and JBL agrees by pretty much saying the same thing. Cole says that RybAxel might be in the hunt for a shot at the titles somewhere down the road. Good luck with that, fellas. As the match starts, JBL lays it on thick by saying the Usos may be the best team of their generation. Ryback and Axel get the chance to work on Jimmy a little and he ends up on the floor outside the ring where Ryback runs over him like a freight train. Looks like a good time to watch some commercials.
After a scintillating commercial for Saturday Night's Main Event on demand via WWE Network, we're back in business as the RybAxel guys are still solidly in control of this one. Axel gets a two-count but can't seal the deal. Ryback tries too but it's still on. Jimmy eventually hits Ryback in the head with a high-spin-kick thing and tags in Jey. Jey fires up the crowd, hits Axel with his posterior a la Rikishi, hits a Samoan drop and goes for the pin but he's foiled by Ryback. Ryback ends up on the floor and we get one of those "Uso crazy!" exclamations that Cole is contractually obligated to make every time the boys are in the ring. As both Usos are on the floor outside the ring, Axel gets confusted and grabs the "fresher" Jimmy Uso to toss back in the ring instead of Jey, who is legal. Looks like the ref didn't catch it, either. It's the old Bella Twins trickery at work, folks. Jimmy pins Axel with a roll up and it's all over.
Result: The Usos defeat RybAxel via pinfall.

Fresh from the break, WWE advises us that Battleground was the most "socially active" of all shows last Sunday. Forget buyrates, folks; social media is all that matters these days. Tout is a good example of that, except that Tout doesn't matter any more, either. Let's watch some "Miz TV"…
Miz gives an "acceptance speech" and introduces his parents, finally giving the guys on the comment boards a new picture of the senior Mizanin to use as an avatar. Miz asks his mom who her favorite WWE superstar is and she gives the perfect deadpan answer: "Roman Reigns." That answer got a bigger pop than RybAxel's entrance theme, folks. Mizaninin's self-aggrandizing monologue continues until Bo Dallas emerges, prompting most of the live crowd to wonder who they'll boo more. Dallas and Miz make nice and fawn over each other briefly and then Dolph Ziggler's theme breaks up the party. Ziggler gives Miz some props but there's clearly some hostility there, especially given how Miz won the match. Ziggler takes a few verbal shots at Miz and Dallas and Dallas tries to smooth things out but Ziggy pushes him away and goes after Miz. Dallas hits Ziggler from behind and knocks him out of the ring as Miz stands to the side looking pensive. Looks like a new, multifaceted feud in the works.

Brodus Clay Talks Moving Down The Ladder, John Cena, TNA, Monster Heels, Post-Network Payoffs Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0724/579338/brodus-clay-talks-moving-down-the-ladder/#o8vX3mlPU7X4BABz.99

I recently spoke with former WWE Superstar Brodus Clay. In the second and final part of the interview below, Brodus talks about his time in WWE, people moving down the ladder in WWE, John Cena saving his WrestleMania 28 appearance, pay-per-view payoffs, TNA and more.
Click here for part one of the interview, where Brodus talks about getting his start with WWE, watching wrestling growing up, Tommy Dreamer's influence, his first WWE release and his return, NXT, his debut constantly being pushed back and more.
Also, make sure to follow Brodus on Twitter @BrodusClay.
Wrestling INC: It felt like you were moving upward with the win streak going, and then you moved down the card once The Big Show feud started. Fans get invested in a character then they suddenly get moved down the ladder such as with Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler. Does creative tell you why this is happening, or do you go to TV and they say, "tonight you lose in 90 seconds?"
Brodus Clay: I can only speak from my experience and one of the things I could have done better was talk to creative. I should have talked to them more than I did. I would speak when spoken to and the same goes for football. Some guys are vocal and can build better relationships. I talked to the agents and they said you're not a main event guy or you need to be patient. I talked to Road Dogg, "Big" [John Gaburick], Arn Anderson, and Dean Malenko. Whoever was in charge of me that day, that's how I managed myself. I think it's a case-by-case scenario. It felt weird talking to creative on my part. I carry myself where I speak when spoken to. It's good and bad.
Wrestling INC: The Big Show and Mark Henry have been around for a long time. It seems like WWE haven't properly booked a monster heel in a while. Do you think the company is missing out by not having a new monster heel?
Clay: The company decides in what direction they want to go. I worked hard to try and put myself in that position, but it wasn't in the cards for me. I had a very good babyface run, but establishing a monster heel - which I think I would have excelled at - and a poor WrestleMania track record is a hard pill to swallow. I thought the heel turn started with the R-Truth matches. It didn't work out, but I have that opportunity now. It can blow up and people can say the WWE was wrong or it fizzles and the WWE knew what they were doing. The WWE chapter of my life was great and I'm excited about the opportunities out there. I'm excited that the opportunities are interested in me. It's nice to be a free agent and taking nonstop bookings. The spectacle of the WWE with the titantron and pyro may not be there, but there are close opportunities.
Wrestling INC: You mentioned your WrestleMania track record. Your WrestleMania 28 scene was almost cut, but John Cena prevented that from occurring. Is that what happened?
Clay: He had to go to the bathroom. We were in the gorilla position and it looked like the segment was getting cut. Cena goes, 'I'm going to the bathroom. Brodus, what do you think like eight minutes?' Worked for me and I will never forget that. It was the classiest thing for a guy who was getting ready for the then biggest match of his career. I've never said we were best friends. We talked about lifting weights, what's going on in sports, and work. That was truly my greatest moment in sports entertainment. I wouldn't have had that moment without Cena.

Brodus Clay Talks His First WWE Release, Why He Returned, His Debut Getting Pushed Back, More Read PAGE1 more at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0723/579309/brodus-clay-talks-his-first-wwe-release/#t6zXHpPwmscdXVCD.99

I recently spoke with former WWE Superstar Brodus Clay. In the first part of the two part interview, Brodus discussed getting his start with WWE, watching wrestling growing upTommy Dreamer's influence, his first WWE release and his return, NXT, his debut constantly being pushed back and more.
Make sure to check back tomorrow for the second and final part of the interview, where Brodus talks about his time in WWE, people moving down the ladder in WWE, John Cena saving his WrestleMania 28 appearance, pay-per-view payoffs, TNA and more.
Also, make sure to follow Brodus on Twitter @BrodusClay.
Wrestling INC: You've had several matches since your WWE release. Are these the first matches you've ever had while not under contract to the WWE?
Clay: Yes and I'm liking it as much as I did while with FCW, Deep South Wrestling, or the WWE Performance Center. With the smaller crowds, the fans are very excited with the entertainment, so there's not much of a difference.
Wrestling INC: How long were you a wrestling fan before receiving your first WWE contract?
Clay: I've pretty much been a wrestling fan my entire life. Wrestling, football, basketball, and baseball were the four things I was obsessed with as a kid. I enjoyed wrestling at night.
Wrestling INC: Who were some of your favorite wrestlers growing up?
Clay: There's so many, but I'd say Andre The Giant. I thought he was an awesome heel with Bobby Heenan. I was also a big fan of Paul Orndorff, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, King Kong Bundy, King Haku, British Bulldogs, Demolition, Powers of Pain, and Road Warriors. It'd be easier to tell you who I didn't like.
Wrestling INC: Fair enough, who did you not like?
Clay: I did not like The Missing Link—never liked how he pulled his hair. One of my guilty pleasures is George "The Animal" Steele. I didn't like him, but I couldn't stop watching him when he did the corner post thing. It was the most awkward thing I ever saw. I tried it at a house show once and it's not easy to do.
Wrestling INC: You've spoken about how you met Tommy Dreamer while working at the Saddle Ranch in Los Angeles. How much of an influence was Dreamer on your career and have you kept in contact?
Clay: We're both busy, but when we see each other it is best of love. I'm looking forward to working with him again. I was always a fan of his from ECW and how he conducted himself as a fan—he's always forthright which can be rare sometimes. He's one of the good guys and maybe eventually I can be in the ring with him.
Wrestling INC: After Dreamer signed you, you started with Deep South Wrestling. How would you describe the time there?
Clay: It was the best of times and the worst of times—but it was the best of times. I loved my time in Deep South Wrestling. We trained so hard and I got a crash course into the world of sports entertainment and pro wrestling. There were so many good guys to help like Dave Taylor, Bill DeMott, Dr. Tom Prichard, and Gangrel. Coach DeMott pushed me to want it. There was no free pass given or hazing of the big guy. They treated me like I deserved to be there and I will always be thankful for that. You got to earn your spot.

Bo Dallas Talks About Having His Brother On The Road, His Character, The WWE IC Title, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0722/579281/bo-dallas-talks-about-having-his-brother-on-the-road/#9tjK4u5AaOIGu9CT.99

Bo Dallas recently spoke with Donald Wood and the folks at Ring Rust Radio before Sunday's WWE Battleground pay-per-view. Below are some highlights from their conversation:
Donald Wood: Sunday, July 20 is WWE's Battleground Pay-Per-View on the WWE Network. You are scheduled to compete in the Battle Royal for the Intercontinental title. Do you Bo-lieve you're going to walk out as the new champion?
Bo Dallas: Absolutely. You've got to look at any situation as the most positive that you can and the most positive is obviously me winning. So if I bo-lieve I can do it, then I can.
Mike Chiari: So many of the all-time greats took their first step toward the top in WWE by winning the Intercontinental Championship. Is that how you view the IC title? As a potential stepping stone to the main-event scene down the line?
Bo Dallas: Oh absolutely. Look at the Intercontinental Championship's legacy. You've got Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Bret HartShawn Michaels, "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig. The Intercontinental Championship is a legacy, not only something I've strived to get in my life, but a big step in my career. Yes, it's a dream, and if I could accomplish it, it would mean the world to me.
Brandon Galvin: Bo, is there any specific backstory as to how you developed your current character? Was there a certain life-changing moment or other inspiration? Or did happen to stumble on something completely different from the norm and run with it?
Bo Dallas: There was no one moment that I could look at that says, 'this is what happened.' It was just a series of events. I got the opportunity to become NXT Champion down in the NXT developmental, and luckily I got 8 months as the champion and it just sort of developed. Things started happening and everything was clicking on all cylinders and working and it developed and morphed into its own monster. I just rolled with the punches, kept my eyes open and my ears sharp to everything that was coming in and took it and ran with it.
Donald Wood: Before your incredible winning streak on the main roster, you were the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history. With you experience in both WWE and NXT, what are some of the major difference between performing in NXT and the main roster and what advice would you give to a star making the transition?
Bo Dallas: The way the developmental system is these days is different than it has ever been. They do so much to prepare us for making that jump from NXT to the big stage that there's not many differences. NXT is its own brand and has become bigger than I think ever thought was possible. But if I can give any inspirational advice to anyone coming up, really look at what you do and know that what works, works. It doesn't matter the size of the stage, if it works at a smaller stage, it will work at a bigger stage and stay true to what you are and Bo-lieve in yourself.
Mike Chiari: Your brother is currently having a lot of success in WWE as Bray Wyatt and your dad works for the company as well. What's it like for you to work so closely with your family? Do you think that it's been beneficial to your career so far?
Bo Dallas: Absolutely. Road life is hard. You're always traveling and you never get to go home, but when you have your family on the road, you always have someone you can trust to bounce ideas off of and know that the advice you get is in the best interest for you. It's just a great feeling to know you can have someone like that on the road with you at the hardest times

Indy INC: Adam Pearce Meets Colt Cabana At '8th Level,' DJ Hyde Wins Rockstar Pro Title, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0719/579171/indy-inc-adam-pearce-meets-colt-cabana-for-8th-level/#Qtq2qMdKLvVTQIbz.99

A legend among his peers, "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce possesses one of the most impressive resumés in the world of professional wrestling. A five-time NWA heavyweight champion, Pearce has worked in the ring and behind the curtain for some of the biggest (and a good deal of the smallest) wrestling promotions around the world, including Ring of Honor, TNA and WWE. On July 19, Pearce will revisit his epic "Seven Levels of Hate Feud" with longtime friend and occasional foe Colt Cabana as the two step into the ring at Steel Domain Wrestling's "8th Level" show in Hopkins, Minnesota for a steel cage match that will be carried on iPPV. Despite a busy schedule in which he carefully balances family life with the demands of traveling and competition, Pearce recently took some time to chat with WrestlingINC.com about his upcoming match with Cabana as well as some significant achievements in his noteworthy career.
Adam, pretty much every wrestling fan worth his or her salt would agree that you two set the bar really high through your "Seven Levels of Hate" feud back in 2012. Bring us up to speed on why you're climbing back into the ring to square off against Colt.
They say that "old habits die hard". Seems as though this course of action by the both of us would lend to that old adage, but truth be told, I don't think either of us truly liked the way "Seven Levels of Hate ended" – regardless of who ended up "winning" the series.
How did Steel Domain Wrestling and Hopkins, Minnesota become ground zero for this clash?
Promoter Ed Hellier has been an instrumental part in the careers of both Cabana and myself, offering us an avenue to perform since our teen years. Not only that but he also hosted Stage Three of "Seven Levels Of Hate." He understands the history and the rivalry better than most so when he approached me with the idea of facing Cabana once more in an area that has known us going on two decades now it was a no-brainer.
And you're in a steel cage again this time? What's the endgame to this feud, Adam? Will there ever be a point at which you're both satisfied with what you've accomplished through beating up each other?
That, to me, is icing on the cake. Not my idea, I'm ashamed to admit, but a wise one without question. The last time Cabana and I squared off in Steel Domain Wrestling we demolished the ringside area, scattered a sold-out crowd, dismantled part of the ring, and shed blood. I think we're in the cage this time around for fan safety more than anything else.
With regard to your career in general, it really seems like you've been in high demand for the past couple of years. After your rivalry with Colt ended, you produced a critically acclaimed documentary of the battle (Seven Levels of Hate: The Uncut Story of Independent Wrestling's Greatest Feud). You've also done some work for TNA and WWE and you even pursued a gig as the announcer for the San Diego Padres. Is there any man or woman in pro wrestling who is more well-rounded than Adam Pearce? What other mountains are you ready to climb?
Frankly, I'm blessed. I'm proud to say that my body of work speaks for itself and is a testament to my mantra. If you 'work hard, treat people fairly, and earn respect', things tend to take care of themselves. And whether I was on the road doing what I love, calling ball games for the Padres, or training the new crop of superstars at the WWE Performance Center I've always taken that approach. As for the future, you never know what mountains may present themselves for climbing.

Goldberg On His Past Issues With Hall & Jericho, A Potential WWE Return, What's Next, More Read more PAGE1 at http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2014/0718/579153/goldberg-on-his-past-issues-with-hall-jericho/#wYfB8YV63Q9w1pzq.99

Bill Goldberg recently spoke with The Phoenix New Times to promote his appearance at the Clickjab Wrestling Fan Fest this weekend. Here are some highlights:
Getting advice from Jim Ross before launching his podcast:
"Well, yeah. Absolutely. I've been taking Jim's advice for the past 30 years. He and I go way back to my Oklahoma days. So why reinvent the wheel and why not talk to people who have tread before you? And he obviously knows what he's doing. And I'm not a radio personality by any stretch, but if you stop learning, you die, and I'm firmly a believer in that. So I'll take advice from everybody, doesn't mean that I'm actually going to act on it. But you gotta admit, when you're not an expert at something and are able to hear advice from different people and discern between the good advice and bad advice, you do that and go from there."
His podcast being different from others:
"Yeah. At the end of the day, man, the reason I did the podcast is because I went through my Rolodex and thought, "There has to be a way to take advantage of all the cool people that I know." So, in the beginning, by not [featuring] wrestlers, I wouldn't be able to gain that much traction as the other guys, but I'm not at all like the other guys. I'm different.
I'm not a wrestler. I am a football player who looked at wrestling as a business. I do not live it, I do not breathe it, I do not eat it and s--t it like everybody else does. And I truly believe that there's a lot more interesting content out there that I'm going to try turning these wrestling fans on to that's cool. I've been leading a pretty cool life and have some really cool friends."
Would he have Chris Jericho on as a guest?
"Absolutely. Why not? We'll do a co-promoted podcast where it should be aired on both simultaneously. Yeah. No big deal. I'm 47 years old, man, I don't hold grudges with people. If he's got a problem with me, say it to my face. Other than that, shut up, you know?"
Jericho tweeting Goldberg is his "bro" and that anyone "trying to stir the s--t can piss off":
"Yeah, that's how I feel too, man. And I very much appreciate him saying that. Until I talk to him face-to-face, which I haven't done since the B.S. went down years ago, which...it was ridiculous. It was the furthest thing from a fight that I think I've ever seen. But he knows the truth and I know the truth, and the reality is we're grown men, dude, we've got bigger and better things to do than [dwell] on a ridiculous little subject that people seem to bring up every couple minutes."
Is he a tough guy or a softie at public appearances and Scott Hall:
"Well, they know that I'm the antithesis outside of the ring of the character that I am inside, except for the fact that, you know, you piss me off or do something that's wrong then I'm going to show that other side of Goldberg. I mean, the reality is, I'm multi-dimensional in the person that I can become at the snap of a finger. But the most important aspect of my personality is the one that's caring and the one that tries to give back to people who have put me in a position that I'm already in.
The wrestling convention or the signings are not the place to show that I can punch somebody in the face. It's a place where the people can look at you as an idol, this big strong guy, but yet, at the same time, have a nice conversation with you, so you smile, put your arm around them and make them feel welcome. That's what you do at these autograph sessions. But, if Scott Hall mouths off to me, then they'll see the other side.
